Children are important to God, and are a vital part of our ministry at Valley Brook Community Church! It is our desire that children come to know Jesus as their Savior, and learn to serve Him as their Lord. At Valley Brook, we provide an assortment of programs and projects to help children in their Christian growth, as well as in their outreach to the community, both locally and abroad.

Because your child(ren)'s safety is a priority, we require all of our staff and volunteers to pass a background check prior to working in Children's Ministries programs.

Kids' Praise, Inc. is our program for kids that meets on Sunday mornings. Our desire is that our children will experience God's love through instruction in His Word, music, drama, and fun activities.


The purpose of Kids' Praise, Inc. is:


-- To teach Biblical principles in partnership with parents, so that in God's timing, a child will be led into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, or grow in their exisiting relationship, and become His influential disciple to the world.

-- To provide a safe, secure environment for children to worship God in an age-appropriate manner.

-- To provide Bible lessons that creatively express the message of the Gospel through age-specific, hands-on activities that are fun, effective, and relevant to children.

-- To provide opportunities on a regular basis where children can use their gifts and talents to benefit others and be messengers of Christ's love.

During the regular school year, we offer classes geared for children of all ages on Sunday mornings:

Babies through Age 23 months
These precious little ones are cared for during the entire worship service in the Nursery. Guided by their teachers, they sing songs and hear stories – all designed to show them how much God loves them. 

Ages 2 & 3
These groups meets during the entire worship service. Children are involved in age-appropriate interactive learning activities. They play games, make new friends, and praise God through music!

Age 4
These children join their parents in the worship service for praise singing, scripture reading and prayer. They are dismissed before the sermon to join their leader for fun hands-on activities that teach them about the Lord through His Word.

Kindergarten
These children join their parents in the worship service for praise singing, scripture reading and prayer. They are dismissed before the sermon to join their leader for fun hands-on activities that teach them about the Lord through His Word.

Grade 1
These children join their parents in the worship service for praise singing, scripture reading and prayer. They are dismissed before the sermon to join their leader for fun hands-on activities that teach them about the Lord through His Word.

Grade 2
These children join their parents in the worship service for praise singing, scripture reading and prayer. They are dismissed before the sermon to join their leader for instruction in God’s Word and interactive games.

Grade 3
These children join their parents in the worship service for praise singing, scripture reading and prayer. They are dismissed before the sermon to join their leader for instruction in God’s Word and interactive games.

Grade 4
Children in this group join their parents in the worship service for praise singing, scripture reading and prayer. They are dismissed before the sermon to join their leader for instruction in God’s Word and applying His teachings to their daily lives.

Grades 5 & 6
Our 6th grade students attend the worship service for praise singing, scripture reading and prayer. They are dismissed before the sermon to join their leader for instruction in God’s Word. Through discussion and interactive games, they discover how God’s Word is relevant to their daily lives.
