OUR MESSAGE TO YOUTH

Element_907a.jpg

At Valley Brook, we take teens seriously. They have gifts and are capable of just about anything. We strongly believe that they are the church of TODAY, not tomorrow. We understand they are growing up in a culture that bombards them with messages. Every time they turn on the TV, surf the net, put on headphones, and look at magazines, they are being sold images and messages - some of which are harmless, but almost none have the student's best interest in mind.

Our message to teens at Valley Brook is this:

You are important; You matter; You are the star of the show; You don't have to wait to have a relationship with God; You don't have to wait to make a difference.

God is real, relevant, and right up your alley. He loves you. He wants you to be part of His family. He has big plans for your life. That is a message that can make a difference in the life of a teenager. To be loved and taken seriously.

Our message of Hope . . .

We provide a safe place to begin the journey towards a relationship with God. To learn about Him, to become part of His family. We have programs and people just for teenagers. We know that getting through these years has never been harder, so we have committed to being a positive message amidst the daily bombardment. We are committed to making this a safe place for any teenager, religious or not, because we feel if you really begin to grasp the message of hope and love that is God, it will change you.

You can get started on your journey, or just come to hang out with some friends. Everyone is welcome, and everyone is valued for who they are!

Welcome Adam & Jenny Castenir!

After in-depth screening, interviews and prayer, the Elders extended an offer to Adam Castenir to join the staff at Valley Brook as full-time Student Ministries Director. Adam accepted this call to ministry and will start on January 18!

Many of you met Adam, and Jenny, during his on-site interview and visit in November. Adam taught at both the Middle School and High School Youth Groups, gave open presentations regarding his views, approach and vision for student ministry and delivered the Sunday sermon.

The feedback that the Elders received following these events, from both students and adults, was overwhelmingly positive. This was further confirmation that Adam was a good fit for this position. Adam has the experience, knowledge and passion for student ministry that are absolutely necessary for this role.

Join us in welcoming Adam & Jenny to the Valley Brook family!
