In observance of Labor Day, the church office will be closed on Monday, September 1st.  Have a safe and enjoyable Labor Day weekend!

Thank you to everyone that completed a Connection Card during service last Sunday.  As Pastor Clark explained, Valley Brook is dedicated to helping EVERYONE...new guests, regular attenders, members... take the next steps to KNOW AND GROW WITH GOD!  The Connection Card will provide you with relevant "Next Steps" each week that will help you develop or strengthen a personal relationship with God. 

The Connection Card is also a vital communication tool!  It allows you to communicate prayer needs, contact information, comments or requests to Pastor Clark and the Valley Brook staff.  And, it provides an easy way to sign up for current events such as upcoming classes, baptisms, Life Groups etc.  We value your participation and feedback and look forward to receiving YOUR Connection Card every Sunday!

Please note, you can always call the office (844-0001) or send and e-mail (valleybrookcc@sbcglobal.net) to sign up for events or request information too!

In conjunction with the 40 Days of Community church-wide campaign, EVERYONE is encouraged to sign up for a Life Group!  If you didn't sign up for a Life Group last week, dont worry!  Sign up will continue on Sunday 8/31 in the cafeteria following service.  For more information on 40 Days of Community please click HERE...Or, call the church office at 844-0001 and we'll be happy to answer answer questions you may have!

Have you set aside some time over the past few weeks to record what God HAS DONE and IS DOING in your life? Pastor Clark is encouraging you to use the "Recorded In Stone" Journal that was distributed at the start of this series to do just that.  If you did not receive a journal, please contact the church office so we can send one to you.

Ignite Retreat – September 5-7th
If you signed up for the Ignite retreat at Camp Berea don't forget to turn in your permission slips!  Two are required, one from Valley Brook and one from Camp Berea.  If you have any questions, contact Lauren Handville in the church office at 844-0001 x16.

Middle School & High School Youth Groups
We hope you enjoyed the summer youth outings and are ready to start the new school year.  Our MS and HS youth groups are getting ready to kick off meeting again on a weekly basis.  Spread the word and invite your friends!

Men's Weekend Retreat — September 26-27!

Worship Details Coordinator
We are seeking a 2nd individual to serve, on a rotating basis, as Worship Details Coordinator.  The purpose of this volunteer ministry position is to glorify God and serve the church by helping to coordinate the details of the Sunday morning worship service.  This position is accountable to the Worship Director.

First Impressions Team
We are looking for volunteers to help, on a rotating basis, decorate the worship space on Sundays (e.g. auditorium stage, lobby area).  Prior decorating experience is NOT needed, simply a desire to help set make our worship space inviting...we'll provide the training and show you where everything goes!
