CONSIDER TRYING ONE OF THESE FIRST SERVE OPPORTUNITIES!

First Serves are opportunities to try a new ministry, a place to serve at Valley Brook without a long term commitment.

Office Help – There is always a variety of administrative, clerical and project tasks that overflow from the Pastor or the events of the church.  Tasks can include filing, processing mailings and bulletins, folding/labeling/stamping newsletter and copying.  If you have one or two hours available on Thursday or Friday mornings (weekly or on a rotating basis) and would like to help, contact Kim Gaudreau at 844-0001.  If you prefer, some tasks can be completed from the comfort of your home.

Oil Change for Single Mothers & Women – This yearly outreach event is just around the corner…May 10th!  Many ways to serve in this one-day event including scheduling the car appointments, collecting supplies, washing & cleaning cars, doing the oil changes and clean up!  To volunteer, contact Bob Smith at 860-305-9536.

Sermon CDs– We are looking for someone to take over the task of uploading the weekly sermon to the web.  No prior experience needed, will train!  Requires a PC and Internet connection and approximately 20 minutes at the beginning of the week.  For more information or to volunteer, please contact Kim Gaudreau at 844-0001. 

First Impressions Team – We are looking for volunteers to help, on a rotating basis, decorate the worship space on Sundays (e.g. auditorium stage, lobby area).  Prior decorating experience is NOT needed, simply a desire to help set make our worship space inviting...we'll provide the training and show you where everything goes!  If you are interested or would like more information, please contact Liz Schmahl at 653-6770.
