You may have seen the words 40 Days of Community popping up here and there and wondered what it’s all about… It is an all-church study designed to build up our understanding, and more importantly, our experience of community in the body of Christ and in the area where you live.

As noted by author Nancy Ortberg,

In community, a deep solidarity with others can be found.  In community, an identification and collaboration with others occurs.  In community, it really isn’t all about us.  The kind of sacrificial, others-focused love that Jesus puts within our reach is reflected in the big word we…we move our focus off of ourselves and onto the bigger picture of others.

 

Beginning September 14th we’ll hear messages each Sunday as a church body on God’s design for us to be in community with one another.  During the week, we’ll be exploring the same daily devotionals and our Life Groups will be meeting in homes for further study and actual community-building with each other.  40 Days of Community will also provide our Life Groups with the opportunity to select and share in community projects together, which will be an exciting “first” for Valley Brook.  We have never attempted this and are excited to see how God works through these upcoming projects!  


Regardless of how long you’ve been at Valley Brook, you are invited and encouraged to share in 40 Days of Community!

2. Use the registration box below to sign up electronically OR
3. See link below to download a Life Group Sign Up sheet that you can complete and mail to the church office (VBCC, PO Box 567, Granby, CT 06035)

To sign up for a Life Group electronically, please complete the following information and click on "SUBMIT" when finished.  IMPORTANT - Highlight the Life Group you would like to join.  The groups are listed in order of meeting day.  Following each day is the time and town location along with the Life Group Leader name.  You will receive a confirmation e-mail after you have submitted your information.  If you have any questions or problems, please contact the church office at 844-0001.  Thank you!
