Men's Ministries

We minister to men through weekly Bible studies, catalytic events like conferences through Promise Keepers and Vision New England, and retreats like our Mt. Washington expedition. Our purpose is to help men become the man, the husband, and the father that God desires each man to be. For more information on Men's Ministries, contact Garry Roman, our Men's Ministries Leader.

Bible Study

At Valley Brook we don't want to be another "dull tool," so Men's Minstries has started IRON MEN in order to help us sharpen our spiritual focus and effectiveness as men.  These gatherings include a message for men from men, discussion time and prayer all in the time frame of one hour.  We even provide food!  All men are wlecome and encouraged to attend.

Iron Men meets on third Saturday of each month at 7:00AM
@ the Valley Brook offices

New Commandment Men's Ministry

Meets  third  Saturday of each month
@ 7:00AM with Iron Men.

They’re in every church, everywhere; thousands upon thousands of people in chronic distress - widows, single parents, the disabled, the elderly.  Though we see them every Sunday, sit near them in worship service, and greet them as we come and go, still they suffer alone and silently. How do we minister in a way that is practical and effective to people like those in our churches who are in some type of distress?

One way we are trying to make a difference here at Valley Brook is through a program called “New Commandment Men’s Ministries.”  NCMM trains men to effectively and practically minister the love of Christ to every widow, single mom, fatherless child, immigrant and distressed person in their church and beyond.  It trains them to personally identify with people in their life situations so that they come to have a deep and profound understanding of them, leading to compassion.  Men will learn to commit to the person(s) they are showing love to in a life-changing way, and to effectively and practically minister the love of Christ to them.  Men commit to donating three hours of their time, once per month, to help others with their homes.

NCMM meets on the third Saturday of the month at 7:00am, joining in the Iron Men study and after that the NCMM teams go out to serve for three hours.  For more information about Valley Brook's participation or to get involved, contact  Ken Kuhl @ kenkuhl@cox.net.
